The Pink Pig Project

Pink Pig is a tribute which covers all songs ever released by The Cure. It was initiated and produced by Flor, German and Juan José from Argentina. There can't be enough THANKS to them for realizing this outstanding and unique project!

It all started on Wed, 30 June 1999 when an Email was released by the legendary mailing lists babble (which unfortunately is lost since 13 Dec 2000) and Descent (lots of thanks to Jessie for keeping this list alive).
In only one years time, Flor, German and Juan José brought together 192 Cure fans or fan groups. Everyone of them could create a cover version of one chosen song. The range of the participants musical skills reaches from professional bands to bloody amateurs - including us ;).

The product, a beautiful designed 14 CD set, was handed out to the band as a big "Thank You" on 23 May 2000 at the Saenger Theatre of New Orleans.

The intention is to keep this project alive with every future release. The 2001 single CUt heRE isn't included so far - so maybe YOU can participate - find out more at www.pinkpig.com.ar.
